The Titans were working on a trade with the Rams for him last week that apparently fell through due to contract issues. But, NFL network still thinks he will wind up in Tennessee, and I definately hope that happens.

The agent for wide receiver Joey Galloway has confirmed that the Patriots have reached a one-year deal with Galloway.
Galloway's agent, Shawn Trell, confirmed the news, which was first reported by Tampa radio station WDAE.
Via email, Trell said that Galloway's decision to join the Patriots was "simple" because it was a "compelling opportunity to play for a premier owner, organization, team and coach."
The 37-year-old Galloway, who was released by Tampa on Feb. 25, visited with the Patriots on March 4 and also had visits with the Buffalo Bills and the Pittsburgh Steelers, who according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette hosted Galloway on Monday.

Good signing. He is about done and certainly not a #1 type receiver anymore, but definately will make it hard for teams to defend to two deep threats and Welker underneath.

This is the most dangerous team that I have seen the Pats have, at least on paper. Galloway, Welker, Moss and Watson give him arguable the best 4 receiving targets than any QB has had in the last decade. The real question to me is Brady's health. Is he really going to be at 100%? Many times injuries like this take a QB 2 years to fully recover.

If I were NE, I'd worry more about QBs and linemen than receivers.

LOL!!!!!!!!!! Oh really? Maybe you need to do your NFL homework INH? I disagree with your view, as I am sure many others here do as well. Did you bump your head? Have you considered that Holt ranks 11th in league history with 869 receptions? Guess what? He's also 14th with 12,660 receiving yards. Just as well, and maybe even the most important is His 80.1 yards-per-game career receiving average which is THE BEST IN NFL HISTORY?
So, how can you say Galloway is better, and Holt is done? Sounds like a fart that got away to me. ;)
Holt is also 32 years old, where Galloway is 37? Yeah, that makes alot of sense. Galloway has nothing even close to the NFL numbers that Holt does. That also doesn't back you up. Look, Galloway was a great athlete yes, I have been a fan of his, but he is nothing close to the reciever that Holt is and was. Maybe it was just Galloway's luck because he might have done better on more talented teams throughout his career, but to make a comment like "Holt is done" and suggest that Galloway isn't, is really funny when it comes down to NFL knowledge.
How you can suggest that a guy that was drafted in 2000 is "done", but a guy who was drafted in 1995, and hasn't done ****ing **** in regards to statistics that will never even creep anywhere near The Pro Football Hall of Fame, is? I just can't understand. Then again, maybe that's just me. ~BH

I bet you draft him for your fantasy league.

Yeah, he ruled last year.
That's what some people said about Randy Moss the year before in Oakland. And Did Galloway "rule last year"? Hell, did he even play?
Anyway, I think in alot of cases it depends on the Organization. Sometimes yes, they are just beat up, Injured and old. I just think Holt has some Football left in him. I am not saying that I am some big fan of his though, because I am not.
I bet you draft him for your fantasy league.
Ummmmmm........................nOPE! Don't get carried away now. ;) ~BH

Oh well.... I guess we'll just have to make due with Galloway and Julius Peppers.

JimbO, The Patriots are the one team where I could see Galloway going. Simply because they will use his talents. Course, they were smart enough to only give him a 1 year deal because at 37 years old, if anyone is near being done, it's him. If he can stay healthy for once, I could see him making some big deep plays. I have always been a fan of his, but what I was saying to INH was based on over-all NFL production and age. Holt is 5 years younger. You guys are really looking good though. I like the Peppers move as well. You always give your team the best chance to win.
I just wish The Colts would go out and pick up another big name receiver. Wanna hear "done"? Marvin Harrison. ;) I don't understand why they don't consider signing Torry Holt to a 1 or 2 year deal?
Yuh know, The Patriots might be my rival, but I respect how they aggressively go after free agents. It's every fans dream that their Organization operate like that. I watched Frisco do it out here back in 94 and They Won The Superbowl that year. Reggie Wayne can't carry this team alone, and I am not sold on Gonzalez just yet. I never liked that draft pick to begin with anyway. ~BH
