Now, don't blame me for race baiting, this is in the news, started by your favorite racist, Senator Clyburn.
See, Gov Sanford, doing the right ethical thing, turns down his state's share of the ridiculous stimulus bill.
Few weeks ago, when this came up, Clyburn raises the race card big time, saying it was a "slap in the face of African Americans".
what does that mean? So, if Clyburn is concerned about the refusal hurting the economically strapped, what about the poor whites in his state? What about the Hispanics? What about the Asians?
yet, it's all about the AA's, according to Clyburn?
Don't all people matter, Mr. Clyburn?
But , it gets better. Sanford compares the stimulus bill to the economy in Zimbabwe, a completely apropos reference, given their recent printing of 10 Billion dollar money notes.
yet, Clyburn says Sanford is raising the "race card", with his reference to Zimbabwe.
Are you kidding me?
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?????????????
Why do we allow this behavior? Why do we, as a society, the media, allow this incredible double standard of race card baiting? The Usurper did it all the time, and now it is common place, and because the Usurper is in the white house, it somehow it makes it OK? Exactly what value does he think the race card has now?
If anyone else made a racist comment like that, their career would be over.
No more double standards. Clyburn needs to step down from Congress for his racist comments.

I agree that he is.
It's "okay" though because he's black. He's also a Rep. and not a Sen. though.

It is going to get even dreadful than this folks. This incident is not new, we have seen it before. You know, when David Dinkins was mayor of NYC if you were not someone of “Color” you had a target painted on your back. Don’t take my word for it, just ask the people of Crown Heights, Washington Heights or the Korean grocer on Church Ave. in Brooklyn.
I agree that he is.

The "okay" just proves the point, Clyburn wants his chance the make others ride in the back of the bus and there are way too many people in this country that think it is just that, OKAY.

It's like we can't even use the English language anymore. Remember that faux outrage a few months ago in Texas, when someone used the term "black hole" to describe a political vacuum, and it was called racist?
Sick of it.
SICK OF IT.
Someday in the next generation, these racist race-card holding race baiters will be gone, and we can live in harmony. Electing the biggest Race baiter of all into the whitehouse will set us back though toward that goal.

Saw CNN run this story last night, Sanford had a great answer to Clyburn's accusation that he was hurting the black community, specifically a predominately black school in a poor district, reminding Clyburn that SC's legislature was perfectly free to appropriate money to rebuild the school and that he wouldn't veto it. Clyburn is the majority whip in the SC legislature.

The race card has been used forever as a crutch when blacks don't get their way. It's sad and I know plenty of blacks that get embarrased by it. I see it in court all the time with my job. Myself along with 3 other officers shot a guy a few years ago that pointed a handgun at us. During his trial his attorney kept referring to us as "White Cops" and his client as an African American and actually asked the judge what his client supposed to do when 4 "White Cops" pointed guns at him. One officer made a complaint to the judge about the race baiting telling the judge that the dirtbag had been to Africa as many times as we've been to Ireland so if the defense lawyer needs to refer to us as "Irish Americans" if his client is referred to as an African American. The judge laughed and ordered the defense attorney to stop using the term"White Cops" and to refer to us as officers.

Perfectly defined.
Those who troll out the race card every time they don't get their way are the real racists.

Thank you. Working with the good people of Baltimore makes it all worth it. It's the scum I hate. The guy I mentioned in my previous post was let go on handgun charges by the jury which is no surprise in this city because they felt he'd been punished enough by being shot. Two weeks later he was gunned down on his front steps by a 15 year old with an Uzi.

Just curious, what is the general consensus of law enforcement on law-biding citizen's exercising their 2nd amendment rights? CCW?

I'm all for it as long as there is proper training to go along with it. I've seen instances when innocent people who were allowed to carry a handgun in Baltimore have been shot by police arriving on a scene because they had their gun in their hand and froze when they were told to drop it. Extensive training needs to be there in reference to what to do if police are responding and if that's mandated then I'm for it.

Thanks for the response. I hope you will chime in on the gun law threads, and cite your law enforcement background to offer your reasoned & experienced opinion on the matter.

The police in my community are for it as well. Like you, they emphasize the training aspect which most responsible people do anyhow.
I used to be wary guns in the house until my husband started working nights years ago. I had someone try to break in and panicked. I just crawled under the bed and froze. Luckily, the perp gave up and I was able to get to the phone.
After that episode, I got training and a handgun. It's the best piece of mind I have ever had.

What "never happens"? Race baiting? Seriously? It happens all the time! Racist people and organizations like the Usurper, Sharpton, Jackson, NAACP, Clyburn, Rangel, and the Congressional Black caucus make a point of bringing it up whenever they are desperate or want something. Same old victim mentality. They don't get their way, so they point to racism, and poof..... all of a sudden, they are victims, and we are supposed to feel sorry for them.
Nope, sorry, you got an Usurper into the whitehouse through racism, all bets are off. It is now officially an equal playing field, we are all in the same boat, no more special treatment, no more special favors. You earn my respect by your character and integrity, not by the color of your skin. Period.

Yes. Race baiting.
I'm told that it never ever happens.
Then, the very same people who always tell me it never happens proceed to calling me a racist because I think the democratic party is a bunch of race baiters.
Silly democratics.
