View Full Version : Long Beach Grand Prix Field Announced

The famous Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Pro-Celebrity Race, long an iconic part of the schedule through the F1, CART, and CCWS era of the race, will be part of the first-ever full IRL race at Long Beach April 18.

The 20-driver field for the race, where drivers will be in identical street-legal Scion tC coupes, was announced Tuesday.

The race: 10 laps, 19.7 miles.

Al Unser Jr. was my racing hero (or one of them, but the biggest one) when I was growing up.
