I don't know what it is, but it's become very attractive to me this year.
Anyone else into MiLB?

There's a team about 20 minutes south (Wilmington Blue Rocks, High-A Royals affiliate) that I try to catch at least once or twice a year.
And the attraction is the cost. A box seat ticket behind home plate, hot dog and a soda will cost you less at Blue Rocks stadium than an upper level seat at Citizen's Bank Park.

How bout it! I used to love going to see the Red Barons! Now I make the trek to Altoona to see my Curve instead.
MiLB is so attractive because it's a days worth of entertainment for under $20.

Good cheap entertainment for sure. Its also nice when you catch a star player down on a rehab assignment.

This town aint big, this town aint small.
Its a little of both they say.
Our ball club may be minor league but at least its triple a.
We sit below the marlboro man, above the right field wall.
We do the wave all by ourself.
Hey ump, a blind man couldve made that call.
Chorus
We like our beer flat as can be.
We like our dogs with mustard and relish.
We got a great pitcher whats his name.
Well we cant even spell it.
We dont worry about the pennant much.
We just like to see the boys hit it deep.
Theres nothing like the view from the cheap seats.
The game was close, well call it a win.
Go off to toast the boys again.
That local band is back in town.
They got a kinda minor league sound.
Theyre not that bad, theyre not that good.
But all in all its understood.
We wanna dance, they wanna play.
We wouldnt have it any other way.
Chorus
Cheap seats
Now the majors called up oh whats his name.
And one more buildin rises tall.
And suddenly were all grown up.
And this old town not quite so small.
But Ill always miss the middle size town.
In the middle of the middle-west.
With no name pitchers and local bands,
And mustard and relish and all the rest.

Never had more fun at a ball game than watching the Asheville Tourists.
Saint Paul Saints are a close second.
Minor league teams have the greatest and goofiest promotions in all of pro sports....Like the Larry Craig bobblefoot.

My team has to have the dumbest name ever. We went from Warthogs to the Winston-Salem Dash. However, the team's name comes from the dash between Winston and Salem!!! On top of all else, the brand new stadium the city is building won't be ready until at least June!! Which means that they'll have to work around Wake Forest's schedule in order to even play home games, since they'll share the same ballpark for a couple of months

Over the years, I have followed various minor league teams. Before I moved out west in the late 70's, I was a fan of the Indianapolis Indians and still to this day check on them occasionally. There used to be a minor league team in Salinas (Spurs) when I lived there, and I attended many of their games. The big team where I now live is the Fresno Grizzlies, but I have yet to attend a game, even though they have a great stadium.

Personally I wish they had stayed the Warthogs. Dash is just a dumb name for a team.
