'Cause I'm sure those military aircraft pack a wallop when it comes to "global warming."
Liberals. They are the "pollute as I say, not as I do" crowd.

Speaker Pelosi, DNCC Announce Green Delegate Challenge For 2008 Democratic National Convention
April 07, 2008
Incentives Offered to Encourage Reduction of Delegate Carbon Footprints, Foster Friendly Competition Among State Delegations
DENVER - As part of an ongoing effort to make the 2008 Democratic National Convention the most environmentally-sustainable Democratic Convention in history, House Speaker and Permanent Convention Chair Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Convention organizers today announced the "Green Delegate Challenge," offering special rewards for the delegation or delegations that demonstrate the highest level of commitment to offsetting their carbon footprint from attending the Convention, to be held August 25-28, 2008. Colorado Governor Bill Ritter, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, Rep. Diana DeGette (D-CO) and Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) CEO Leah D. Daughtry joined Pelosi at the Pepsi Center in Denver to unveil the challenge and mark the first in a series of greening announcements the DNCC will make throughout April in recognition of Earth Day.

Funny stuff. I wish somebody would do what the Brits did. They took an infrared heat detector to the homes of the major Labour politicians who promote green stuff and measured just how energy inefficient their own homes actually are (link here (http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/environment/article5734082.ece)). The embarrassing results produced some lovely quotes from stammering politicians when confronted with the fact that their homes were among the most wasteful. It would be interesting to see the carbon footprint of Pelosi's home, in addition to her jet.

“Today we say that the Capitol will be not just a shining symbol of our democracy, but a symbol of our commitment to the future. Not only by the power of our ideas on energy independence, but by the power of our example, we hope to send a message to the world and to the country.”
- Speaker Pelosi, June 21, 2007
Addressing global warming and protecting the environment are vital to protecting the health of all Americans, particularly our children. For the sake of our future generations, America must provide strong leadership to reduce emissions that are responsible for global warming. Increasing use of renewable energy sources, including biofuels, and energy efficiency will help reduce emissions, protecting future generations from this global threat.

I love the hypocracy of her lecturing GM, Chrysler, and Ford CEO's about the use of charter jets to bring them to Washington. Those companies are losing millions of dollars a year, but Nancy Pelosi has cost us over 2 TRILLION dollars just in the last three and a half months! That's not even figuring all of the other wasted spending programs and coverups for groups like Fannie and Freddy over the years. Not only can she not operate within a sustainable budget, but she continues to waste taxpayer dollars with every trip across the country in her "Air Farce One", and even with the trips she cancels at the last minute.
Can someone not call her on her BS?

Her broom is self propelled. That's why there are "greenhouse" gasses.
