I have to disagree. I think the Wings will have a great game. Predication- 7-1 Wings

Don't get cocky.
You did just lose 8-2 to the Blue Jackets.
I'd feel a lot better about this game if it were in Philly though.

How about a friendly wager? Say maybe winner gets to pick loser's sig for a week? I would love to see you sporting my "Jake Ryan is the cat's meow" sig :D

That was a fluke game. Columbus seems to be to Detroit what the Miami Dolphins are to the New England Patriots.

Didn't they also take a 6-0 on the chin in the last couple weeks?
I'm just saying...I wouldn't get overconfident. Detroit's good, probably best in the league, but 7-1 is a stretch.

That would be incorrect, we didn't lose 6-0, we lost 8-0. :(

Exactly. Detroit for some reason could not beat Chicago last year. Plus Columbus has an amazing goalie, THAT'S IT!

Again. I'm not saying Detroit's not good.
But no team is good enough to predict a 7-1 win. Period.

Bottom line: EVERY team throws a stinker now and then. What may look good for your Wings on paper may turn out to be your worst nightmare, that's why they play the game. ;)

I don't care who we play in the playoffs. I think the Wings can take anyone in a seven game series. That being said, I don't want to see them have to have a bunch of teams out west like we did two years ago, the travel was brutal on the team.

Agree, did you hear Ken Hitchcocks comments after the game on Sunday? Here is what he said after the Wings beat the Blue Jackets on Sunday.
"I don't care who plays Detroit," Hitchcock said. "If they decide to play that way, not many teams are going to beat them ... and nobody is going to beat them in a series. If they're going to play that way, certainly teams are going to be lucky to win games against them."

Good to see the Wings come back from a 2-0 defecit. Biron was playing amazing. Every goalie plays career games against the Wings for some reason.

You know what? I could sit here and try to explain to you about how things are in Michigan right now...and have been for the past 5 ro 6 years....but you aren't interested in any actual discussion, so I will not bother.
You would much rather try to come across as a badass on a message board...but I think I should tell you that your attempts are like 25 kinds of Fail.
I do notice that you get your panties in a bunch alot when it comes to sports..not sure why. Maybe you could channel that energy into something more worthwhile.
I will not be responding to you anymore because I notice all you do is get snarky and insulting...which says alot more about you than it does anybody else here.

Let's discuss it.
The Pistons sell out their playoff games, in the exact same economy.
Perhaps Detriot should have trademarked 'basketballtown'.

Back in the mid 90's when they trademarked the term it was pretty much impossible to get Wings tickets to any Wings games, let alone a playoff game. For some the excitement has died off for the team being so good for so long, for others they stopped going to games when Stevie Y retired. There are a lot of factors that go into it. Last year there were several articles from local papers at the beginning of the season that talked about the "Death of Hockeytown". Still we own the trademark so I'll keep calling it "Hockeytown".
