Any fortune tellers out there who can guestimate when the banks will start lending again? 2000. 2009, 2010? For me, without access to good credit, I cannot do major capital improvements like parking lots, roofing, windows, total gut rehabs. I own larger mutliunit housing complexes and can definitely create hundreds of jobs if banks ease up on lending.

I went to an economic forecasting conference last week and most of the predictions I heard had the market bottoming out sometime at the end of 2009, or beginning of 2010. I would suppose that lending would become more "lax" beginning at that point - but mind you, lending will not be as open and easy to access as it was from 2002-2006 for a long time, at least 10 years IMO.
