Going on two weeks in country and not a single attack. Our day to day activities have been boring and of all things I didn't think we'd do while over here, we took a PT test this morning.
So much for being a hero lol.
Thanx for clearing the way, vets

Looks like President Oby won the war, in less than 45 days. Now he can concentrate on pulling the troops out of Afghanistan, pulling the plug on missile shield in eastern Europe, throw eastern European friends under the socialist bus, side with the Russians, throw Israel under the bus, side with the Arabs, etc etc.
all in a days work for President Oby.
But, Iraq, President Oby won the war in less than 45 days. He straightened out Bush's Quagmir.....

The insurgents are really stupid, we've announced force reduction plan to the entire world, two Army brigades leaving Iraq in the next six months that won’t be replaced and yet they just can't sit tight and wait! Obama has said the reduction is subject to change if conditions merit such. So maybe the insurgents just want us to hang around, ya think?

Yeah, when things are cleared, I'm allowed to talk about them, but I might not have anything to say all year if we don't start doing something productive

Hobby or reason you can't explain? Just kidding.
Seriously, pick up a new hobby or something. My little brother watched about all the movies and TV series shows while he was out there. If I were out there, I'd buy myself a Kindle 2 (http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-Amazons-Wireless-Reading-Generation/dp/B00154JDAI/ref=amb_link_83624371_1?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=center-1&pf_rd_r=1KP1SBEA07DQX2GWNGZW&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=469942651&pf_rd_i=507846) and do a ton of reading (my birthday's coming up, maybe I can convince my wife to get it for me.... :fingers crossed: :D ). Plus maybe get a ton of other things done hobby-wise.
Keep us updated on how things are over there. Boring may be bad for you, but good for us.

Late last year, the Iranians decided that the agreement between the US and Iraq would not effect them, so they've decided to scale back the EFP, rocket, and fighter export. They will wait until our 'retreat' until they make their move. I suspect they will move in the far south and north with incursions into Baghdad via Sadr City. It'll be quiet until 2011, 12 timeframe.
Hopefully we've done everything that we can do.

From what I've been told, IED attacks have double this week. Prolly just ******** to try and keep us on our toes.

Yes. With my earplugs in I can sleep through almost anything... my buddies would wake me up long enough to get me to put my kevlar and vest on and go back to sleep. But now back home I'm the lightest sleeper ever.
