Does anyone know if he had a falling at with the CNN folks?

Didn't Fox offer him a wheelbarrow full of money?

A skip loader full, you must of forgotten the market.

From things I have heard him say on Fox I think he felt restricted and stifled at his previous gig.

How it all went down I don't know.

I never really ever listened to him before he moved to Fox.

That's what my mom thinks also. She listens to him all the time. I watch him occasionally, but not often.

I still haven't watched him on TV. But I used to listen to him early on Saturday morning before he became very popular.

I don't know but he's way better on Fox than he was on CNN.

More money, bigger audience....why wouldn't he switch?

He had a chance to better himself finacially of course. That's the way free societies work.

Now only if FNC would move Beck to primetime instead of 5pm, he wuld get a much bigger audience.

How so? Is he smarter? Better dressed? Funnier? I'm curious as to how he could get better than he already was because I thought he was perfect just the way he was. But if moving to FOXNews somehow made him better, I'd like to know how.

I like that Fox is letting him do stuff like the War Room and his We Surround Them project. I don't think CNN would have let him do that. I love Beck. Who else would offer Peeps to a commie?

Ratings. He was doing horribly. The Fox audience is more his type.

The way he presents the news is a a bit better. He's even more amusing and interesting to watch on Fox instead of CNN.

I believe they wanted to lock him in a long term contract...
I could be wrong...there was a thread on it

I remember Darth Bush knowing the lowdown for some reason

I like Beck but he's really been going off the deep end the last couple years. Every other show is about how doomed we are, I sometimes wonder if he mistakenly got Jack Van Impe's script instead of his own.

and his choice of religion in getting in the way of his greatness too.

nothing against the church, but they definately have him in a big grip.

I think that's part of his end of the world is coming philosophy of late.

That’s right.

He is now free to present a show without a pre-determined agenda.

That's the thing, and maybe this is a question for the RF, but most Mormons I've talked to over the years aren't really big on end-times and doomsday theology. It's usually a segment of evangelicals that are praying for Armageddon, not the LDS as far as I know.

I do agree, though, that the Mormon Church heirarchy really pushes Mormons to tow the line on every one of their issues, and they don't like it when people in their flock disagree.

You think Glenn Beck is being forced into his religion?

You are correct on that.

no, not at all. I think he likes it and goes willingly.

and I've retracted my statement about him and his religion.

Oh, I wasn't asking or suggesting you should. Just trying to clarify.

Somehow I didn't think Glenn and forced propaganda went all that hand-in-hand.

But thanks for clarifying. :D
