JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate will analyze logistics requirements; review logistics/training documentation, presentations, and computer aided instruction; provide training/instruction at various bases/installations; and conduct research and analysis of clients Information Technology (IT) requirements and recommend solutions. He/She will review fielding plans, coordinate fielding schedules, and aid in fielding of computer hardware to Marine units at various installations worldwide. He/She will conduct warranty trouble call analysis, research, and resolution; evaluate vendor warranty support performance using performance metrics; prepare and provide vendor performance briefings; perform data entry; and prepare and submit detailed reports accounting for IT equipment fielded to Marine units. Candidate will attend meetings, draft correspondence, and submit reports on project status; and provide advice and assist in drafting documents regarding IT asset management for the Marine Corps. This position requires daily liaison and interface with MARCORSYSCOM Project Officers. Candidate will coordinate technical and logistics projects in support of the USMC Enterprise network, and exercise support, and contingency support. Candidate will also interface with multiple IT clients across multiple time zones on a daily basis. Anticipated travel is less than 10%.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s degree from an accredited institution and two (2+) years of related experience are required. High school diploma or GED and four (4+) years of related experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in IT Networks, Management, or Logistics is desired. Marine Corps Supply/Maintenance Management Courses, and/or Advanced Networking Techniques Training are desired. Microsoft Advanced Systems Management Server Installation and Administration is also desired. USMC fielding, logistics, and warranty support experience is a plus. Working knowledge of the Total Force Structure Management System (TFSMS) and other supply/maintenance systems is highly desired. Must be competent in the use of all Microsoft Office Suite applications. Candidate must be proactive; detail oriented; be able to work as a member of a small team with little supervision; and be self-motivated and driven with the desire to excel. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. Candidate selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
