If OPSEC permits, what unit are you in?

If you PM me an address, I'm sure the Mrs will send a care package.

Stay safe.

Just remember there is no such thing as too much ammo(if you got room carry it), a fighting hole that's too deep (If the sarge says "dig in" don't stop digging until you strike oil) , or a bullet with your name on it (they are all addressed "to whom it may concern"). Keep your eyes open and moving, head down, and your chin up and thank you for your service.

Well, it's March now. Enjoy the "cold" weather. By the end of your tour you'll think 110 is cold.

Stay safe man.

That is no lie. I remember in 2005 when it went below 115* there was a distinct difference. When it got just below 90*, it felt like fall.

Alcard, enjoy the 'peace' and 'quiet' buddy. And thank the multiple tour guys and gals who made it that way.

My little bro told me a story about that. His friend had one of those watches with a thermometer. It was on that "cold" day of 110 they were complementing the weather.

I concur. Thanks to all our troops who have put their lives behind them and put their lives on the line to help these people.

ALCard, thank you for your service. You are the one who's awesome.

I'm on Liberty. It's really freakin' awesome too when EOD does a controlled demolition without giving anyone any warning!

Once again: THANK YOU for your service. How long is this deployment?

Our family would be HONORED to send you a box of goodies and necessities -- and also to sign you up to get an Operation Gratitude care package, too. If you have a moment to PM your address and a working email, too, if you're okay with that, some small tokens of our thanks in the form of a care package will be put together with love and prayers and be sent on its way!

Just kidding you. Be careful what you wish for.

From the movie Apocolypse Now

Martin Sheen's charecter is waiting for a mission

Saigon... ****; I'm still only in Saigon... Every time I think I'm gonna wake up back in the jungle. When I was home after my first tour, it was worse. I'd wake up and there'd be nothing. I hardly said a word to my wife, until I said "yes" to a divorce. When I was here, I wanted to be there; when I was there, all I could think of was getting back into the jungle. I'm here a week now... waiting for a mission... getting softer; every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Charlie squats in the bush, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around, the walls moved in a little tighter.

Oddly enough, my sister was just comparing me to Chuck Norris over being here earlier :eh:

But she's only alive because Chuck Norris allows it
