What team would be stupid enough to hire this idiot and the circus that will come with him??
Boycotts and picketing will keep more fans away than his name will draw.
besides ..he is not that good.
Not worth it.
Might have a chance with the WWF if he was thrown in a cage with a bunch of snarling pit bulls.
I would pay to see that. :))

I hope the butthead doesn't try to come back to Atlanta now that he's being released.
I really hope his goose is cooked and career ended. He threw it away with both hands with his greed, gluttony and sheer stupidity.
I don't know that he deserves a 2nd chance. He doesn't seem genuinely sorry for what he did, only sorry he got caught.

I still contend he deserves a second chance.
Honestly, I would not be shocked if he ended up with the Bengals since Ryan Fitzpatrick signed with the Bills and we only have Carson Palmer and noodle-armed Jeff Rowe.

Folks....
He's just not that good. Who needs the baggage that bad when there's young QBs coming down the pike. Look how well Atlanta has done without Vick, for your example.

He's gonna come out of the joint all yoked up and end up playing linebacker in the AFL.

I still contend he deserves a second chance. Why?
There are so, so few people who get to play in the NFL. Vick HAD his chance. He was IN. He threw it all away with no regard at all to how special it was, what an elite fraternity it is.
With his hat in the ring, some kid whose hat COULD have been in there might not be. Where's HIS chance?

The guy's a loser. No one is going to watch this moron now. I know for a fact the Panthers won't even look at him, and why anyone else would I have no idea.

Actually, I forgot we have Jordan Palmer. Jeff Rowe was released I guess.

I think it would be fitting if he was signed by Cleveland and had the Dog Pound cheering for him.

Obviously, you're no better than Vick.
You started a thread like this a few months ago that gave us an early expose of your psychotic ramblings.
You are in serious need of a hobby.

You underestimate the stupidity of both Jerry Jones and Al Davis if you honestly think that people won't sign someone with a circus surrounding them.

Exactly.
Especially after teams have figured out how to use the Wildcat, they'd be dumb to not look at a guy like Vick with his speed. Now, it IS possible he's let himself go in the klink, so we'll have to see what he looks like.
The NFL wants players with talent. Michael Vick, for all of his vagaries and stupidity, has talent.
If Pacman Jones can get a second chance in this league after helping get someone paralyzed...and if Leonard Little can get a second chance after actually killing someone, I think Michael Vick will get another shot.

A talented and athletic man who is familiar with and has the ability to play quarterback in the NFL but will not be in any position to demand market prices for his skills? He will be on a roster this year or next, almost without doubt. If he starts and does well, his past will soon be forgotten by his fans.

Another mobile left-handed Niners QB? He'll make Niners fans forget all about Steve Young — for all the wrong reasons.

He did something stoopid and payed his debt to society.
Apparently its not enough for some of you die hard football fans. What more do you want from him?
If someone wants him, he should be allowed to play again.

I don't get the impression Michael Vick is actually contrite. He just wants to get out of jail, pay the fines, and get on with his football career.

I get it. Pit bulls.
We used to have a professional indoor lacrosse team here called the Pitt Bulls. Would have been a great fit for Vick.

Didn't the Redskins have some guy from prison play for them as QB during the NFL strike, and that QB ended up beating Dallas?
I still say it'd be funny if Vick ended up going to the playoffs.
But folks, seriously, he's paid his debt, and for crying out loud, whatever you think of dogfights, people have done far worse and have been forgiven for it.

Vick was an overhyped, overrated player anyway. Still, if he can make the cut for some struggling team, then he should be allowed to play. He's never going to be the same guy he was prior to his jailtime.

He probably doesn't see what he did as being so wrong that it warranted the outrage and the punishment he received.
I'm actually with him on that. While what he did, I feel, was cruel and wrong, there's a lot of double-standards that exist in how we look at cruelty towards animals, and the truth that there are people who committed violent acts against PEOPLE that got less jail time and still got their jobs back- in the NFL.

Agree completely.
In one sense, Pete Rose's betting on baseball was more significant than Vick's problem, because what Rose did can make his performance (or the performance of other players) automatically suspect; it's clearly linked to performance of the game.
While I have no love for dogfighting, people have done far worse and have been forgiven for it.

What Leonard Little did was 100 times worse than what Vick did, and he only got fined 8 games.

I don't like what Vick did at all, I am an animal lover. However, Vick has payed the price. That bottomfeeding fraud BerneyMadoff probably won't even serve as much time as Vick. Some have said at the end of the day, including endorsements, Vick lost up to as much as 100 million dollars.
I agree it's a privilege to play in the NFL, but then punishments should be the same for everyone of course depending on the severity of the different comparable crimes. Little took someone's life from them, a Wife and a Mother, and then he went out and got another DUI after doing it. He should have been kicked out of the NFL atleast after the second DUI. ~BH

He will get picked up. Any team that gets him will most likely need the publicity!
