My young, adult child has been in the hospital for 8 days with a major infection that doesn't seem to be resolving despite aggressive treatment.
Her doctors are mixed on her prognosis. Its been 9 days now and some days she seems to be shaking the infection and other days she is extremely ill.
She could use some prayers.
Thank you.

Mid...I am sorry that you are having to go through this. It doesn't get any easier just because they get older. Am adding her to my prayers and you as well my friend. Am praying that her dr's will figure out what is going on and that she will get better ASAP!
In the meantime please know that you are both in my thoughts and prayers...
Stay strong & God Bless...

You ever think, "it doesn't rain but what it pours"? And then wonder "how long, O LORD, how long?"
Praying with you, my brother. LORD, shelter the Family of Christ to stop the hurt and boost the gain.

I haven't been on this board in over a month and want to thank everyone for their prayers. My prayers go out to ALL, and particularly those who are struggling with health and personal issues.
My daughter is doing better but has a long road ahead of her. She was released from the hospital 10 days ago.
Her doctors tell us that there is some irreversible organ damage (mostly to her digestive system). She is very tired and depressed that she doesn't have the same healthy body that she had before the massive infection. I pray the depression goes away and she regains some energy.
Despite the iffy prognosis, I am very optimistic about her future.
Thank you again for your prayers.

She has a gentle and loyal, loving mother to tend her, shelter and love her.
I'm glad she's home. And pray with all my heart that the rainbows and roses and butterflies return to fill her eyes with laughter again.
Did you discuss vitamin supplements with her docs? The sublingual B12 does wonders for my own energy levels, but I'm not recovering from so massive an infection.
And may her Eternal FATHER in Heaven look down upon you both to Smile and Say, "Let there be laughter and joy in this home, and let the troubles of the world stay far from them."

Thank you again for your prayers.I'm praying with you in regards to the depression... in the meantime, if it won't be too hard on her digestive system, studies have shown that Omega-3's help fight depression - I've been fixing Rick a snack every day of fish or shrimp (you can buy the fully cooked, frozen kind in bags of 60 for around $13 on sale) every day and I really think it's helping him.. plus we moved to a LOT of dark green leafy veggies.
I (personally) think the depression would be natural, and medications can be so damaging... maybe it won't hurt to ask the dr what she can ingest that will help her struggle?
My prayers will be for you also Mid.. for your strength and wisdom in knowing how to help her.
