From what it looks like, the girlfriend left the house when she was supposed to watching the kids and someone came into the house and snatched her. There are no forced entry at all.
I don't buy the girlfriend had anything to do with the crime. She looked as though she was very shooked up during the whole time the child went missing.

I'm a grown woman, I'd be shook up too if my boyfriend spoke to me in the manner he did on top of the shock of the missing lil one!

Well if I had a daughter and she went missing b/c my idiot g/f decided to go whore it out at 3 am, speaking in that manner would be an understatement.

Authorities have been investigating a tip that casts doubt on a story told by Croslin, 17, that she was home when she discovered the child missing.
The source said the father's teenaged girlfriend actually wasn't in the trailer when Haleigh vanished last Tuesday.
Her story hasn't been consistent from day one. I've thought all along that something certainly didn't add up.

JACKSONVILLE, FL -- With the Haleigh Cummings Amber Alert status creating a nationwide lookout, there are reports of a search this past weekend in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol confirms that a man with a little girl who looked like Haleigh Cummings was spotted outside a Carrabba's restaurant in East Knoxville on Sunday afternoon. The Highway Patrol quickly canvassed the area in a search that resulted in no findings.
More witnesses came forward saying the man, who was white, walked while shielding the face of a girl who looked like Haleigh. The two got into a red Toyota RAV4 with Florida license plates and drove off.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol has no further comment and can't confirm that the girl was actually Haleigh Cummings.

Indeed.
Girl fit the description. Florida plates. Guy shielding her face. And they just watched as he drove away...
Even if I wasn't able to physically stop him, I'd have followed him and kept the vehicle in sight. Good grief.

At 24 to expect a 17 y/o girl could take care of 2 children she is only 12 years older like a mother speaks volumes. They were together 5 months in total and he leaves this kid with his children?
Maybe he should try to find a woman his own age who is past her "whore it out at 3 am" days, he may find her a bit more responsible

So that some how takes away the responsibility that was put on the 17 yr old?
She is old enough to be able to babysit to say the least.
So a 17 yr old cant babysit in your opinion?
Wow, we better stop life as we know it now.

No kidding. I started baby sitting when I was about 15. Sometimes all night. I knew better than to leave the children. Surely a 17 year old should know better then to go out and leave children alone.

Just an observation while reading in the news, did anybody notice that of all the family interviewed, the only 2 with the same last name were the father & daughter? With 40+ sex offenders interviewed in the area, did anybody think this poor little girl had a chance from the beginning? All she ever did is grow into the target age range.
They can cry and roll around on the ground all they want to, nobody cared much for this little girl before this tragedy happened.

the bio-mother of the missing child comes across as having a few brain cells missing, herself, just as the 17 yr old girl.,IMO, none of the family seems to be very worried about the missing child.

East Coast mentality of don't get involved. Let the government take care of everything. Help is only a phone call away.
The government is USELESS. Tennessee isn't even a State that borders Florida. The kidnapper and victim practically got through Georgia and Alabama with a full-on Amber Alert undetected, which proves how utterly useless, incompetent and stupid the government can be.
The only way for Americans to do something right is to do things themselves but liberals don't see the government as anything but an almighty all-knowing powerful go-to-Entity.
I know the government has limitations. I was in the United States Navy, and saw it first-hand. The government isn't all-powerful. It isn't all-knowing, in fact it ain't even halfway intelligent.
