We all have have a 'special' place that we can pray in peace if need be. I don't think God cares a bit how or where you pray but appreciates it when you do. I go to the 'Falls' when I have that need for peace and a need to pray or for no other reason than it is a beautiful place amidst roaring water. I consider it a Holy place simply because God created it and a Friend (Doc) of my Brother is buried there; rather his ashes were spread there as were his last wishes.
I discovered the 'Falls' when my brother was working on a horse ranch a few miles away. I would go with him on occasion when he was leading a two hour trail on horseback. When you look down from one side of the bridge it's 15' or 20' down. When you look from the other side of the narrow Bridge; the 'Falls' plummets down 50' or 60'. It's awsome on horseback after you get over that the horse could plummet you also to an unhappy ending if you don't have control of that lovely beast of burden.
I hadn't been there for years and found the need to reconnect there with my Soul after Mitchell's traumatic brain injury (TBI). Many prayers have been hollered up to the Heavens and God there on Mitchell's behalf and the behalf of many, many others.
I took a bunch of pics with a throw-away film camera and have uploaded some of them to an Album Here on Hannity. A special 'Thank You' to Mr. Hannity for allowing us to do that here. He and all of the Staff & People here were included in my prayers.
Here is a link to my 'Hannity Album' on the Wangum Road Falls & Bridge. I hope the pictures can convey some semblance of the beauty I find there.

I mentioned in Rhet's Cuddles thread that many cultures have the custom of leaving written notes of prayer at shrines and many other places for God to 'read' and hear.
Last Saturday I went to the 'Falls' to pray after printing out some of the 'request for prayer' threads in the OO Forum and a page of written notes to help me along in this. One of my Brothers passed 3 years ago on Valentine's Day and some special prayers were offered up for his Soul there to God.
My short term memory lacks sorely at times and I figured I could read these in my talks with God. Keeping with old customs; I ripped up the pages and tossed them off the Bridge just in case some or any spirit there would care to read them.
I just simply want the Folks here in the OO to know the requests for prayer are heard here and many people, including myself do our best to make certain that our prayers are 'offered up' to God in the most respectful way we can with the hope that God hears them no matter what way we 'offer' them 'up'.
I don't know why I was 'guided' to this OO Forum On Hannity other than to know that the prayers I have received are greatly appreciated and the prayers I 'offer up' are said in the sincerest way I know how to do. I know prayers work. I somehow just 'know'.
I was at the 'Falls' again yesterday and 'offered up' many more prayers for Folks here and many others including my Family, myself and all that I could summon up in my mind including many who have departed this 'Earthly' domain.
Be well ALL and may God Bless you and your Families.
PS: A special 'Thank You' to Jwil (Jeff), Rhet and the many others here who have guided me in getting back in touch with my Soul and our Creator. My sincerest appreciation is conveyed to you ALL.

Mom's so right.
What a glorious location to see and feel the power and majesty and wonder-working of the LORD our God.
I'd be standing on that bridge over that rushing water, throwing prayers at the LORD every moment I could get there, too.
Thank you for the pics. I shall view them many times yet again.
BTW: I keep a computer log of my prayer focuses and write down many prayers because I have short-term memory glips, too. Thank God for computers, especially the LOVELY portable ones they've got now!
And, boy, is she right about having missed your Voice around here. I read your testimony about that Hershey's chocolate "moment" in Mitch's thread. And I praise God for sparing you to us for a while longer, for leading you to us here and letting us share your soul like this.

what beautiful pictures!!!! It's amazing to see what God has created. I love going out west and sitting on top of a mountain and just looking. It looks like God took a paint brush and painted.
Thanks for sharing those beautiful pictures.

Jim:
Those pictures are beautiful! You've got a wonderful place to get away and pray. Here, I roam through a large park called South Park. It can get quite busy in sections, but there are lots of hiking trails and you can just wander off the beaten path, so to speak. I have found several small, hidden clearings which are perfect for prayers, and just listening to that quiet voice inside you. With a world that doesn't always present its best face, it's wonderful to come online and find a forum such as OO, and "talk" to such kind people. Reaffirms my belief that people are good, and kind, and willing to help (overall, but I don't count the "bad apples").
Thanks for sharing the pictures, and yourself.
Take care,
Murphy

That is a beautiful place for sure. When you go there to pray I bet you kinda feel like God created that place just for you and Him to spend some time together.
Thanks for your prayers and thank for being here brother. I have learned much from you, not just about TBI but about life.

Hello to all of you in the OO and Hannity Forums,
I hope you don't mind that I revived this thread somewhat. Redundancy is always an enemy to me. I try to go into every thread and let folks know that their request for a prayer or prayers are answered as far as those prayers making it to the Good Lord's attention. What the Good Lord does with them after they are offered 'up' is anyone's guess except that some individual may have some way of knowing when the Good Lord provides some sort of answer.
I'm having a wee bit of a problem with fatigue these days and I won't be posting as much. I simply would like you all to know that you are all in my prayers when I go to the Falls whether in specifics or in general or sometimes just in the urgency alone.
So....at the risk of posting in this thread in a redundant manner; my sincere apology is forthcoming and you have it in advance.
Be well All,
Jim

Redundancy is a safety measure. It's how we discover and correct the oversights and omissions in the previous efforts. :))
I'm sorry to hear about the fatique problem. Will be offering some prayers of my own for basic repairs and stabilization of the energy production system the LORD created when He first put you on this earth.

Beautiful location. What a wonderful place to connect with God. No wonder you go there.
Question, how do you get pictures loaded to the hannity site? I have a couple pics of my boy that are simply hilarious.

Hello FallGuy,
I hope I connected with Him there today. There were some urgent prayers as well as other prayers for many folks here and in my life.
To post pics; Go to and click on 'User CP' in the upper left of this page. Scroll down in the 'control panel' to pictures and albums. It is very easy to follow and the program here usually does the re-sizing for you.
Up load from the location on your puter when prompted and start the upload. It took me a bit of time because of the amount of pics I uploaded to the 'Album'.
I'm sure we would all love to see your pics.
Be well and patient and you will find it's a fairly easy task to accomplish.

Thanks Jim. I appreciate it.
I hope you can overcome this fatigue. Right now, I'm dealing with a chest cold so I cough all night. In the morning my boy runs me in circles, then at work my employees (I'm an assistant manager and will be applying for another manager position soon) run me in about 20 different circles. :)) The chaos is fun. :D
You're in my prayers.

To All the Folks in the OO:
I ventured to the Falls several times since last weekend and every person here in the OO who requested a prayer or prayers, did indeed get them. I have no idea if the 'Big Guy' takes notice of what I say to Him in my 'talks' but the prayers are offered up sincerely nonetheless. I hope and pray that all of these prayers are answered in some way by the Almighty.
I uploaded some pics I took the other day to show the progression from Winter to Spring. Again, using a throwaway film camera.
I take the prayer requests here to heart and mind amidst many others that I offer up that have nothing to do with the OO. I'm of the mindset that prayers do indeed 'work' to whatever extent the 'Big Guy' takes notice of them. I haven't posted here much in the last week for a variety of reasons but please know this; I stop in from time to time and read all of the threads and put them on my handwritten notes to include in my 'talks' with God.
Please just know that my prayers are said in the most respectful way I am capable of communicating to the Almighty.
Please be well ALL,
Jim

Wangum Road Falls & Bridge in my Hannity Album:
I can promise you that God notices your prayers Jim, not only notices but listens and answers. The thing about prayer is that God answers every prayer with either yes, no, or wait. he answers knowing more than we do as to what is best for us. I am gratefull that my family has gotten many yes answers from God to your prayers. Thank you for your faithfullness to all of here in OO.
That is a beautiful place my friend.

Dear Jim,
Your post made me cry and your pictures of the Falls made me cry even more for the beauty they convey and carry.
We all have our special places of prayer. It doesn't need to be a church for God to hear us because God is literally everywhere we are. Just look around.
I pray that when you are up at the Falls that you experience the joy, happiness and peacefulness that those pictures expressed.
God bless you my friend.

Hello All,
I was at the Falls yesterday and offered up many prayers to the Good Lord. Many of those prayers were to honor my own Mother, my Daughter who is a new Mother and my deceased Grandmothers. Motherhood is sacrosanct to me and my prayers also honored all of the Mothers here in the OO and on Hannity Forums. I learn a great deal in the writings of Mothers here and for that I thank God.
Again, my prayer 'talks' with God, a wee bit lengthy yesterday, were for the folks who come to the OO for whatever solace or prayers they may need to get them through whatever in life or death that in some way may help. My prayers were also offered up for those who have passed to be given the Good Graces of God. For they have met Him and have that knowledge we won't have till we have the same adventursome passsing.
Please be well ALL,
Jim
