Growthology (http://www.growthology.org/growthology/2009/02/kindle-is-a-case-study-of-creative-destruction.html)seems to believe it (or something like it) will dominate paper books in 7 years.

I got it!! I'm the first one to have one in Kuparuk and I might be the first one to have it on the whole entire North Slope! Amazon might as well put me on the payroll because I've probably already sold another dozen.

Our sister company produces the display for the Kindle. I had one WAY before you did... :razz:
It is a bi-stable cholesteric liquid crystal display. It only uses power to change the display, not to show it. We have displays in atmospheric chambers here that have gone through the type of conditions you would see if you went from the North Slope to Death Valley & back repeatedly for two years...
They still work great.
Congrats on the purchase, every one sold is helping keep a Midwest tech company rolling. ;)
