Mark mentioned tonight that someone over at FNC has coined the term Marxist and claims to have been saying it long before the Great One.

Who on FOX does he have a beef with?

Hello guys! This is my second time trying to do anything on this website. Last night, I , a not-very computer literate 57 year old, immediately went on and tried to participate in a poll. When it asked for my user name and password, I tried to use what WOULD be my chosen information and apparently banned myself from visiting or reading or posting anything! I went back and logged in with information, but I still am not allowed to access anything. Not a very satisfying beginning. Can we straighten this out?

Thanks,
Amanda

PS I listen to your radio show most every day.

I was wondering why Levin has it in for Beck?

It's not Glenn Beck. He hates Bill O'Reilly...

He's ripped that guy several times.

I sure hope that you aren't trying to put a divide between those who like both Mark and Fox News .

Nah, you wouldn't do that, now would you?

I seriously think, coming from a fellow Levin fan, that he rips on Glenn Beck not because he has any idiological differences, but because he's in direct competetion with him. Beck is very popular on the air. Levin is obviously a competetive person. Levin is always crying about the "back benchers" but hell......if they are getting out the conservative message that may help win our country back from the "drones" then who care who says it first. If we are too get the message out, speak out and stand up then we need every voice we can get who is on message and has core beliefs like Levin, Beck, Hannity, and Limbaugh. Mark Levin is simply awesome but he turns me off when he picks on Beck. Mark is the "George S Patton of Conservatisim" and Glenn is the "emotionally honest and compassionate conservative" Mark leave him alone he's on our side!!!

After my ride home tonight and listening to Levin say "back bencher" a few more times I thought I would chime in. To me it seems that both Beck and Levin are, or should be, trying to accomplish the same goals. So why stir the pot and try and be divisive? I just don't get it, and it seems that it really cranked up a notch when Beck got his show on FoxNews.

I have enjoyed listening to them both. But the "back bencher" crap is getting extremely old. Mark, it makes you sound like a whiner!

its not about derisiveness.mark is a lawyer who worked for reagean. i have no idea what glen's background is but i'm assuming it isn't as prestigious as mark's and he just does not have the same clear grasp on the issues as mark sees it.

mark claims that beck listens to his show and just repeats what he says which i guess would be fine if he got some credit.mark is doing all the work while others are reaping the benefits.this obviously annoys mark.

the point isn't the message the point is that if beck is just parroting mark then hes a hack and who needs him. conservative talk is full of competition and we need fresh original people in the game for what good is a watered down message anyway which is what it is if its coming from a hack.

for the record every time i've watched glen beck i've enjoyed it.

he also has a problem with bill oriely but not because he's a backbencher (thief hack) but because oriley has been jealous of limbaugh and marks success and has said some things that mark disagreed with.

bill was for the bail out of the banks and was bashing the conservatives for standing against it.

he has also said and i'm paraphrasing here that there is one person running the oil prices and he's going to find him. mark could not stand this non economic class warfare argument and said so.

We all who have listened to Mark are fully aware of his credentials prior to radio. Mark reminds us often, and if I had his pre-radio credentials I would as well.

The stuff Mark typically claims "back benching" on are the daily happenings in the news. Well, let's take a look at the timeline of those happenings. If it happens during the day, especially late afternoon, then Glenn, Sean and Rush have really no way of commenting that day, as their shows are early to primetime on the radio. Mark, on the other hand, has his show in the evenings where his show is even carried. So it's just reporting on what happened earlier that day. Because Glenn, Rush and Sean's shows have to report on the news the next day due to timing doesn't necessarily make them "back benchers". Because if he's calling Glenn a "back bencher" then he most certainly has to be saying the same about Sean and Rush, as they have to do the same thing due to timing.

If you had listened to Glenn's show for the last two years you would realize that Glenn has been telling his listeners exactly what would happen to our economy. And he's been pretty much right on so far. I also like Rush, Sean and Mark, but they've been way behind the curve on calling the happenings of our economy. And that doesn't make them "back benchers", either.

I do wish Mark would cut the "back bencher" crap, as it does give the appearance of being a whiner. I have really not listened to Mark since his 2/19 "back bencher" rant, so I honestly have no idea if he's chilled the commentary. I will listen tonight on my way home from DFW (Mark is not carried locally where I live) to see if things have improved. I used to listen to him via the internet, but haven't since the 2/19 show.

Well, I did listen tonight for a bit and the show, and Mark, were much better. He only used the "back bencher" term once, and it was used generically. It was much better!

Beck is a moron. Whoever goes on the air and says we're headed for another depression like he did on the Factor is off their rocker. Only Democrats talk down everything and make things seem worse than they really are. Levin's not like that and that's why he's the better conservative, and radio host.

Well, allow the deflation and contraction of the economy to continue and we shall see what adjective we use to describe the economy. I can hardly wait to see the new unemployment numbers after a February which might be the worst month employment wise in 60 plus years.

I don't believe Beck is talking down anything, and actually is giving you an accurate description of what is occurring in the economy. I believe we will know by the end of April where this economy is headed. Continued contraction, deflation and higher unemployment will mean we are most likely going to get much, much worse as the summer unfolds. So far, over the last two years, Beck has been a lot more accurate describing what has happened in the economy. I guess we'll have to wait and see if he's correct regarding the future of the economy.

Oh yeah, here (http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/T/THE_D_WORD?SITE=CAVEN&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAULT) is an AP story from yesterday, where they use the term depression as well....so guess Beck is not the only one saying it.

I love sean hannity, I love Rush and I love Mark. They each have qualities that I like. However, more than my opinion of them, they are letting people know things that the dems would rather have left unknown to the general public. Then we could all bow at the feet of obama. I thank GOD for them each and every day and pray they stay healthy so they can continue to spread the truth that would otherwise go untold.

It is absolutely freightening what the Dems are pushing through so fast. its hard to grasp it all IF we manage to know about it.

Yep, sometime Mark is irritating but then so is Sean sometime but I can't imagine our world without people like them to keep us fully informed.

Why is Beck a moron for saying we're headed for another depression? I understand optimism is important in setting the economic tone, but sometimes the facts are grim enough that putting on a happy face is not going to change the situation.

Banks are failing, the stock market is plummeting, unemployment is rising, there are apparently more derivative explosions (from option ARM mortgages, among other things) expected to go off in 2009 and 2010, with some predicting that the fallout will be at least as bad as it was with the subprime mortgage crisis. The president is a Marxist and the government is recklessly spending billions and trillions of our dollars.

I think it's quite likely we're headed for a depression, and talking honestly about it is the best way to try to avert the situation or prepare for it.

I agree 100% with you, I LOVE Beck, I don't have a chance to listen to Mark, would love too, I think everyone is turned off by O'Rielly, if he was really looking out for the folks like he claims, he would tell us the truth like Beck, Sean, and Rush.

I completely disagree. And the proof is in Obama changing his tone this week coupled with the banks reporting profits. Speaking of doom and gloom only makes it worse.

Mark is awesome, I especially like the fact I can download his radio show on his website.

I like Beck, but I just wish he would quit his fake televangalist crying. Its pathetic and it gives the liberals ammunition.

Not to mention, Just last week on his radio program, Beck opposed military policing along Mexico's border, stating that it should be up for the states to decide. I respect the states but this is a matter of national security... By all means let the federal government step in.

I too, wish that Beck would stop the crying. I also wish Mark would stop the whining. I doubt that either will happen.

On the border and the feds, I believe our governor has asked for federal help. So far I believe there has been no response, which is not surprising.
