For anyone who wants to follow this year's brood of Eaglets. :) Eggs haven't been laid yet, but it won't be long. Check out the slide shows, too.

An annual event I look forward to watching unfold.

I hope the eagle couple have better luck this year than they did last year.

Thanks for starting the thread Chichi.

I was going to post this morning when they were displaying some mating behavior, but then one of them flew away. They were about to, um, get it on....

One mounted the other twice in a row, and was not rejected, but then took off for whatever reason.

its because they dont take their time in mating. much like me, blink and its already over.

The first egg should hatch anytime after Monday, probably on Tuesday or Wednsday.

The kids have gone from the cute and fuzzy to the ugly, clown feet stage.:D

I checked in on them yesterday and they were napping. Checked on them today and they are still napping.

Maybe I can catch them awake later this afternoon.

Yeah, they sleep a lot. Till mom or dad show up with food.

I'm watching right now, and there is a man in the nest. they're banding the eaglets, apparently.

Wow, I didn't realize how big that nest was. This certainly puts it in perspective. Three adults could easily fit in it.

They're putting the babies in a bag.:( I don't understand why they have to remove them from the nest to do this.

Ah, here is the explaination.

Looks like it is extremely windy there today. I'd be getting seasick if I were up in that tree!

Yeah, they were supposed to do this yesterday, but had to postpone it because of weather.

After measuring and weighing the eaglets they were able to determine that 2 are male. The third they are not sure of.
