I don't think there's been a episode yet that hasn't left me surprised and slightly confused but in a good way.

This will be one of the best shows of the decade but will never have the kind of endless rerun strength of shows like Fresh Prince or Star Trek. Both those shows while still having overall plots were very contained single episodes.

My newest theory that is probably wrong.

Sawyer and the rest of his crew will end up about 20-30 years in the past when they finally get done time hopping. They will be the "hostiles" that the original Dharma group was at war with.

I've always though the "others" as viewed by those who crashed are the same as the "hostiles".

I got into Lost last year but had to catch-up to really understand what was going on. I watched 4 years of Lost on www.hulu.com (http://www.hulu.com). It took me about three months to get through all of them.

I had to record last night but can't wait to watch it this weekend.

I'll see your theory, and raise you mine.

The old lady in the church at the end who Ben is talking to, (also the one Desmond ran into when he was jumping around in time) is penny, desmond's girlfriend. She is also Daniel's (the physicist on the island) mother who desmond is going to oxford to find after his "dream".

So Daniel is actually Desmond's son.

I have no theory. I'm confused as hell. It's not where are they, it's when are they? Some are dead, but not really. "Libby says 'hi'" - huh? They all know they're traveling through time?

Old woman at church? Penny?
Daniel is Desmond's son?
Sawyer is an original hostile?

What does it all mean?

I guess I've got to go watch the 2 hours again.

Here in part is why I base my theory of the surviving Losties actually being the hostiles.

At the beginning of this season's episode we saw Daniel way back in time meeting up with Dr Candle (or whatever he's going by today) at the beginning of the Dharma initiative. This segment is obviously out of sequence with the rest of the episode and I think this will be the time they finally get settled in.

I also think the surviving members of Ben's group will join with Sawyer's group. It would explain how Richard looked the same age when he met Ben as a teen as he does now. They will be at war with the Dharma initiative and eventually kill them all taking their place which is how they got there. Which of course if you think much about it starts to make your head hurt since there is the paradox of how did they get to be there in the first place and it basically puts them in a big time loop.

I'm still thinking the others are the original crew of the black rock, but I can see how it would work that the survivors of the oceanic crash merge with them.

It would also explain why the 6 survivors all have to go back. If they end up thrown into the past and stuck there, then they have no choice. They have to go back.

My recorder didn't get all of it so I'm missing about the last 1/2 hour.

The item about Libby - Hurley was having a vision of "ghosts", he wasn't time traveling then. He made the comment earlier in the episode that he's been seeing dead people. Anna Maria was telling him to get his act together or he was going to endanger Sajed. She made the Libby comment because she was a ghost and Libby is dead, too.

I LOVE Sajed. He's one of my favorite characters.

Wish I knew what went on in that last 1/2 hour.

Thanks. Hulu didn't have it as of yesterday, that's where I watched the first four years in four months!

BUT it's on Free TV and I've got it running in the background now.

First three seasons I actually got really into Lost and trying to figure out what the deal was, how everything tied together, etc. The last season I have figured out that those first three, the producers were making it up as they went along, and now they have such a mess, they just said **** it, we'll make a time travel story line stick and pigeonhole everything else into it. Their own damn time travel rules don't work. It's a fun show, with lots of action and good production, but I no longer feel like it is anything more than that.

Hell, Jack was supposed to die in the pilot and Ben wasn't a planned reoccuring character.

See my last post. Holy crap, tell me this is what they envisioned, even a couple seasons ago.

I speculate that the incident mentioned in the Swan training video was the bomb being set off.
The Swan purpose then changes to keep the electromagnetic pulse in check.
The several hundred peeps in the show are all in a temporal causality loop and continue to live these events over and over.
