thats one the reasons and your point is?

It's not one of the reasons, and the point is your analysis of anything related to anything is deeply suspect.

It seems unnatural. Like the parts don't fit.

Stags are good, I have one. Granted, I shoot correctly (right-handed) so I don't need any specialty rifles. ;) Seriously though, they're a good firearm for the money and it's better to get one now before election day.

I suppose this is as good a place to mention that I ordered a new rifle (Christmas present to self) too; well not new, but new to me. A service grade M1 Carbine from the CMP. It hasn't shipped yet, but I should have it within 30-60 days. ;)

Thats the worst part. I'm not left handed. :)

I'm right handed but I shoot rifles, bows and pool lefty. I can shoot righty, but it just doesn't "feel" correct.

If I could play a guitar, it would be righty.

On a lighter note, I can write my name backwards with my left hand, and forwards with my right hand, at the same time. :eh:

You are one seriously confused person. :)

My daughter is left handed, but right eyed. She was trying to shoot my M1 left handed and rolling her head all the way over to see with her right eye. I finally had enough trying to get her comfortable with the gun and demanded she shoot it right handed. Of course she insisted it did not "feel right" but within the first clip, she was nailing targets at 200 yards and was comfortable enough to shoot up the rest of my ammo. ;)

I'm convinced there are 2 poeple residing in my head...

I'm figuring I could "re-train" myself to shoot righty all of the time, but why bother really? When I was younger and shooting my parent's bolt actions, I would hold the gun lefty, fire the shot then work the bolt with my right hand.

Totally incorrect, but I was still a good shot! :)

Totally incorrect, but I was still a good shot! :)It sounds as if you are left eye dominant; like Samm's daughter, your dominant eye and hand are opposite. It would be better in the long run if you did train yourself shooting BOTH ways.

A buddy of mine writes and draws left handed. He is right eye dominant and does EVERYTHING else right handed - eat, shoot, etc.

Edit: And ANOTHER buddy is TOTALLY left handed, including shooting. He's a LEO and shoots a standard AR left handed. Every once in a while he has to dig a shell casing out of his vest while cursing loudly.

Yep. Left eye dominant.

Another bizarre thing is that if I am eating a steak or anything that needs to be cut with a knife, I hold the fork in my left hand and the knife in my right. After cutting the food, I have to switch the fork to my right hand otherwsie I'd wind up poking myself in the face. :)

My father is left handed and shoots in the manner you just described, I bought him a left handed bolt action Remington years ago and he cannot shoot it...
He shoots left handed but works the action with his right. So the nice rifle just hangs on the rack and looks pretty, only had about five rounds through it in twenty years.

I am right handed and left eyed too Clamp, but I concentrate to use my right eye anyway. It is not really a problem for casual shooting or hunting, but if I am doing precision target shooting at the pistol range, I put a piece of translucent tape over the left lens of my glasses so I don't have to use so much brain power over so much time.

Holy crap....just got word back from the gun shop and the backorder time is now up to 6 months!

6 months! Bushmaster is at 8 to 9 months.

I'd go for a 2nd hand rifle, but the one I ordered/like is a brand new model and there are no used ones around.

Damn left handed crap.... :)

I've been checking out the GSG 5 and the Saiga 308 for a couple of stock firearms. They seem to be easier to obtain then AR style firearms lately...and to be honest, they look pretty fun!

Does anyone own either of these or have experience with them? .22lr & 308 are much easier ammunitions to get then 6.8 SPC. :)

That's alright......the last gun I ordered, a DSA SA-58 Para-Elite, was on back order for a year.......

And I fully expect my next gun, a Sig Arms SIG556 SWAT, to be a year wait too.......

Just order the gun, get your order in que.........before Papa Doc Obama has his way.
